The importance of iterations within the design process is often hidden. Sink spoon was a project that celebrated an iterative design approach. I worked with with member of RNIB Scotland with visual impairments to design a spoon which helps the user gauge the temperature and level of liquid through its changing shape. The spoon deforms in hot liquids and sinks when the liquid has reached the top and the cup is full.

It was codesigned with members of the RNIB, who made it clear inclusive designs needed to be integrated into products not 'messy add ons'.
